When you buy a bottle of Dawn from the store, P&G, the company that owns Dawn, will donate $1 to The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC) or the International Bird Rescue (IBRRC). The Marine Mammal Center uses this money for saving marine salt-water animals. They save both animals that are sick or injured and rehabilitate them until they are able to be released back into the wild. They believe it is our job to save animals because 10% of them have been harmed by humans. The International Bird Recuse mainly saves animals that have been affected by oil spills, although they also manage the wildlife and veternary services for wild animals. They pick up animals affected by oil spills and wash them with Dawn (it is tough on the oil at the same time as being gentle on the animals), then monitor there waterproofing level until they are able to release the birds back into the wild. Along with doing birds, the International Bird Rescue helps all wildlife except salt water marine mammals. This is worth telling people about because it saves animals life around the world because every year thousands of animals are impacted by oil spills.
